Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 22, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Koprey ("we", "us", "our") handles information in connection with the Android application Notification Keyword Forwarder (the "App").
We designed the App so that your notification content and settings remain on your device. The App does not operate its own servers and does not send your notifications, trigger words, or settings to us. Please read this policy carefully before granting the App access to your notifications.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Data processed locally on your device
The following information is stored and processed only on your device. It is never transmitted to us, because we do not operate any backend service for the App:
- Notification content: If you grant the App notification listener access, it reads the title and text of notifications posted by other apps on your device in order to check whether they contain your configured trigger words. This matching happens entirely on-device.
- Your settings: Trigger words, the AND/OR matching rule, the selected forwarding channel (WhatsApp or SMS), the action mode (forward, alarm, or both), and the destination phone number you enter.
- Local activity log: A record of the most recent matched events (approximately the last 20), including timestamp, source app name, matched notification title/text, the trigger words that matched, the channel used, and whether forwarding succeeded. Older entries are automatically discarded.
- App preferences: Your chosen theme (light/dark), app language, your acceptance of the in-app consent gate, and related UI states.
These items are kept in the App's private on-device storage (Android SharedPreferences and the WebView's local storage). They are removed when you clear the App's storage or uninstall the App.
1.2 Advertising data collected by Google AdMob
The App displays ads using Google AdMob, a third-party advertising service provided by Google LLC. When ads are shown, Google may collect and process information such as:
- Advertising identifiers (for example, the Google Advertising ID);
- Device information (device model, operating system version);
- Approximate location data (derived from IP address);
- Interaction data related to ad delivery and performance.
This collection is performed by Google under Google's Privacy Policy. Where required by law, Google obtains consent for personalized advertising through its own consent flow.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information described above solely to:
- Match incoming notifications against the trigger words you configured;
- Ring an alarm and/or open WhatsApp or SMS with your chosen recipient and the matched message pre-filled, when a match occurs;
- Show you a history of recent matches inside the App;
- Remember your preferences (theme, language, consent status);
- Display advertising that funds the free version of the App.
We do not sell, rent, or share your notification content, trigger words, destination phone number, or activity log with anyone. We do not use this data for profiling or analytics.
3. Data Sharing and Third Parties
The App involves only the following third parties:
| Third party | Purpose | Data involved |
|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob | Displaying interstitial and banner advertisements | Advertising ID, device and usage data as described in Google's Privacy Policy |
| Your messaging apps (WhatsApp, SMS) | Delivering the forwarded message when you tap send | The matched notification text and your chosen recipient number, passed via a standard share/intent mechanism at your explicit direction |
The App does not embed social login providers, crash reporting services, analytics SDKs (other than ad-related measurement performed by AdMob), or any custom REST API.
4. Permissions We Request
- Notification listener access (optional, granted by you in system settings): required to read notification titles/text for keyword matching. You may revoke it at any time, after which the App cannot see notifications.
- Ignore battery optimizations (optional prompt): keeps the listener reliable while Doze restrictions are active. Declining does not block core features.
- Internet: used for loading advertisements (AdMob). Your notification data is not uploaded.
- Wake lock: lets the alarm keep ringing while the screen is off until you stop it.
5. Data Storage, Retention, and Security
- All App data described in section 1.1 resides only on your device.
- Settings persist until you change them, clear the App's storage, or uninstall the App.
- The activity log retains roughly the most recent 20 events and older entries are automatically overwritten.
- Data is stored in the App's private sandbox, protected by Android's per-app security model. On rooted or otherwise compromised devices, no additional protection can be guaranteed.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because we do not collect personal data at all, no child-specific data is retained. If you believe a child has been exposed to inappropriate content via third-party advertisements, please contact us using the details below.
7. Your Rights and Choices
You are always in control of the App's data because it lives on your device:
- Revoke notification access in Android system settings at any time.
- Delete all App data by clearing the App's storage in Android settings or uninstalling the App.
- Ad personalization: manage or reset your Google Advertising ID and opt out of ad personalization in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads (menu path varies by device).
- Consent: the App asks for consent to this policy and the Terms of Service before features become active.
Depending on where you live (for example, under Saudi Arabia's Personal Data Protection Law or the EU/UK GDPR), you may have rights such as access, correction, deletion, and objection to processing. Since we hold no server-side records about you, requests relating to your on-device data are fulfilled by deleting the App's storage or uninstalling. For anything else, contact us at the address below.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example when App functionality changes. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current revision. Material changes will be reflected in the in-app consent gate on the next launch after publication. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
